Fisher Metal Detector Treasure Stories

I'm 79 and still average about 2 or 3 pieces of gold a week! I don't sell any of it as it is my hobby. I give a lot of it to my daughters and relatives and school rings I try to give back. Just a couple of weeks ago I found my first 24kt. gold necklace in Ft. Lauderdale in the ocean after 48 years of hunting in the water! It weighs 3oz and certainly pepped me up a little bit. Now I feel like metal detecting until I am over 100! Click here to read more!

US Great Coat ButtonIt’s a U.S. Great Coat Button, with a rarity of 27 in existence! Valued at about $800.00, I felt fantastic when I picked it out of the ground! It’s not often that a button like that is found in Florida. Thanks to an Albert Button book I was able to identify it as soon as possible.  Click here to read more!

So you can imagine how surprised and elated I was to dig 10" into dry, hard ground and pull out a Confederate CS tongue belt buckle! I immediately knew what it was from my prior research into Civil War relics, and in the area I found several Confederate States buttons. No one was with me for this great find, so I immediately called a relic hunting buddy of mine by cellphone to share the good news. I've found Civil War bullets at this site before, Click Here to Read More.

I was recently hunting in a construction site, looking for Civil War relics with my Fisher 1266-X and a shovel Nobody was with me while I hunted that day, and the top soil had been piled up from the construction that was going on nearby. It was already dark out, but I had a flashlight and was determined to get a hunt in that day. After only about 10 minutes I got a signal, and about 8" down I found my favorite find to date. civil war relicsWell known campsites in the coastal areas of George and South Carolina are often considered “hunted out.” But I have proof that “hunted out” is nonsense! I have found an impressive amount of American Civil War relics with my new, Fisher CZ metal detector from Kellyco. All were found in areas that have been pounded by those who consider themselves “Pro’s” and use every type of metal detector imaginable. Click Here to Read More.

I dug down about 10 inches into the hard ground and saw my first Civil War relic - a U.S. buckle plate! I knew what it was immediately, and you can only imagine how pumped I was. The first person I told was my wife, and while I don't know the value of it and haven't found another Civil War relic at the site since, I will always consider it my favorite find to date. treasure story coinsI got a chance to do a little land fishing with the 12 inch coil for the fisher 1270.I found some old school board land that has never been hunter in Loranger Louisiana. This place is really grown up.There was not a lot of trash as i thought it would be. Click Here To Read More.

On our way home I had mentioned to Audie that I would love to find a gold coin one day. His response was "I don't want to find a gold coin. I wish I could find one of those rare coins that you don't see everyday." We had a few buckles and buttons - not too bad. As we were relaxing and talking about our next trip out he went over to my book shelf and pulled out the Red Book of coins and started looking for the coin that he had found. Low and behold, there it was.

I have been an avid land hunter for 35 years but after detecting an old beach area and shallow water, my views are changing about detecting! My friend Sonny invited me down for some water detecting and I made the 250 mile drive to detect. I have tried water detecting on and off over the years with not much luck. My luck would change as both me and Sonny were using the Fisher CZ-20's and made some awesome finds.

Within 15 minutes I dug a 1897 O Barber dime and a 1891 Indian Head. I continued to detect, being a bit more excited (and optimistic) now. I continued for about another 45 minute and recovered some modern clad dimes, 2 more wheaties and 10 memorials. A couple days later I got to thinking about that dime and decided to look up the value in the Red Book. Lo and behold it was a RARE dime I had found with only 666,000 minted!!

David Found Hundreds of Religious Jewels on ONE Hunt with his Fisher Metal Detector!!Recently a friend of mine invited me to hunt an area he had been hunting for the past few years. He felt like he had recovered most of the things that could be found with a standard 12" coil. After we arrived at the location we discovered it was an old home site. Click Here To Read More.

Ornamental Pieces Found 10 Inches Deep! The Coinstrike was my choice for detectors because it always seems to work best at these old sites.I started finding what-is-its right from the get go. My first finds were ornamental pieces which came from depths of around 10 inches. The watch case, what's left of it, was 6 inches deep. I got the two Buffalo Nickels near the back porch which were 4 and 6 inches deep. I can say the Coinstrike is a lot like the CZ's as it loves nickels!Click Here To Read More.

Gold Jewelry, Gold Rings. . .See How It Was Done!I recently purchased a Fisher CZ-20 from KELLYCO. It arrived quicker than I expected by UPS. I removed it from the box, watched the video, looked at the operating manual then headed to the beach around 8pm. On this particular beach, the park closed at 11pm. So I hunted during the 3 hours I had left and found silver and gold jewelry and many coins. Click Here to Read More.

The best as you see are the carving knives and fork - the handles were made from deer. It's a big coincidence because those are the only antlers I got on my hunting trip. I'm trying to trace the knives, there is still writing and they are sterling silver and metal. They could have survived the fire and were buried in time. They cleaned up beautifully. I also found a small oil can.
