Hi Wanda, I finally got around to taking pictures of my finds with the new Garrett 1500 you
suggested a couple of months ago. The 1500’s imaging feature is unbelievably accurate. I started by going to an area
that I had hunted out with my previous Garrett 450. Within 5 minutes, I recovered a Susan Anthony dollar, a quarter,
and a couple of dimes. Then I started a real field test by putting it on "all metal mode" and imaging every target
to identify what it was and the depth. I was astonished! The imager was on the nose about 95% of the time. If it indicated
a pop-top at 4 inches I would dig it and find a pop-top!
Then I went to a new area and started some serious hunting. Coupled with the Automax V2 pin-pointer I was digging and pocketing
as many as 3 targets a minute. The enclosed photos represent most of the finds retrieved on just one set of batteries, that’s
about 35-40 hours. I only get out for about two or three hours at a time. My best find was the last target on a two hour hunt.
It was hot and I was soaking with perspiration and had said to myself “ Nuts, this just too hot to go on.” I was on
my last sweep when the Belltone went off and it indicated a strong‘gold’ signal; but then so does a figure 8 pop-top. But
this sounded a lot stronger and the imager indicated a ring sized gold object at 6 inches. That’s exactly what I found and at
the depth indicated, a 14K gold ring with 7 small diamonds. What a great way to end the day! I showed it to
the wife when I got home and it fit her perfectly. Need I say more?
I’m sure you can guess where the ring now resides. Wanda, my thanks once again for all the expert help you
give me every time I come in to KELLYCO. I have recommended your store many times to folks who ask me how to get started in treasure hunting.
I tell them not to fool around; go see the professionals and get the equipment that is right for you and the type of hunting you want to do.
But no matter what detector you end up with you just have to have a V-2 Pin-pointer and a set of headphones. Hey, don’t take my word for it.
