Quattro
Finds Military Button & More!
 Hello
KELLYCO!
Hope you won't mind me sharing my finds with you. I received
my Quattro 9-2-2005 and have been getting used to it in my
yard. I haven't found the "Mother Load" YET,
but I've had some luck so far, considering I'm still in the
learning process! My yard consists of fill- in dirt
and cluttered with junk Ferrous and Non Ferrous targets. The
attached scan shows some of the items I've dug from my front
yard (note that I've hunted it several times with my old detectors).
The
coins in the holders and above were dug Labor Day 9-5-2005
along with several items not shown. The items below
the holders were dug 9-10-2005 and some items not shown.....old
pull tabs, recent pull tabs, aluminum bottle caps, large wads
of aluminum foil, etc.
I'll make my test garden today with some Civil War Bullets
and Buttons as that's what I hunt the most!
On
9/17/2005 I went digging at one of my old hunted out Civil
War sites. Nothing special except for my first (I've been
detecting 9 1/2 years) ever one piece convex Military Button.
It is a US Infantry with the "I"
inside the shield. The latest price guide shows it at $15-$25.
The iron underwear button gave me -2 signal one way and would
go to +33 the other way. I dug it thinking a good target was
beside a bad target and I'm glad I dug it. All the other finds
were close to iron targets and I dug at least 8 shotgun hulls
that had been previously missed.
I
hope to send more scans this Fall/Winter if you want mine?
When the temperature cools, the vegetation dies down and
the crops are harvested I'll be going back to several old hunted
out places! Thank Tony once again for assisting me over the
phone as his knowledge and comments were such a relief to
me!
Thank You Very Much,
Hoping To Show Nice Finds Soon,
Roger W., in Tennessee
