What a rush.A Gold (aureus) Vespasian 69-79 after CHR.Before and afterwards lots of silver (denariussen) and bronze Roman coins were found.I also found a lot of armour and military equipment. The gold was really great. Fantastic detector. Very deep and clearly different tones.

Brilliant Finds

Have been out and about with my CTX 3030 and made some really great finds recently. First one was a really highly decorated spur dating to the 15th Century. Then I discovered a Georgian period rubbish midden only very small but it contained an iron buckle and a large kitchen type knife. The final find so far was this little man whom one might say is moderately well-endowed. I think he dates to the late Georgian period and may be some type of crude pendant poking find at King George 111. I've plenty more finds to share too. Thanks for a brilliant product which really has given me the finds from new sites and has truly refreshed sites ...

Jáchymov - Cradle U.S. dollar

I'm trying everything possible, so I wanted to find nuggets. As you walking in Australia or America. But there is a problem - nowhere near us has gold. In our region, however, since the Middle Ages silver was mined. I have read a few clever books and found the nearest possible location. I chose Jáchymov.

In the footsteps of the "34"...

During the campaign of Italy in the summer of 1944, the Allied troops fought fiercely to conquer every foot of ground troops to Nazi-fascist, determined to slow their advance as possible in anticipation of the completion of the second true line of defence (the Gothic Line) after having sold at a high price that the line Gustav hinged on the famous Abbey of Montecassino.

2nd Time Out with CTX 3030

Went out for the second time at the beach with my CTX 3030 and ending up finding Barber half dollars, Quarters, and Dimes along with walking liberty half, standing liberty quarter, merks and rosies 22 all together, not pictured where the buffalos, Indian heads, wheaties, v nickel, and large amount of clad. what got me was how good the CTX 3030 pulled the silver out of all the junk and iron.

Just How Deep Can the CTX 3030 Detect a Coin?

I hit a site last (Mar 19, 2014) that has produced old deep silver in the past, but not in over a year. I was using the CTX 3030 with the 17 inch coil, manual 32 sensitivity, gain 30, Ferrous Combined. In about 2 hours I hunted a straight line about 150 to 200 feet long. I was very focused and very meticulous on each beep out of the machine.

Civil War Era Officers Button

I headed out for a much needed hunt with a buddy yesterday afternoon after work. He gained permission to hunt a large area that use to serve as a mission in the mid to late 1800’s. The ground was littered with iron signals. I hunt with the CTX 3030 and a wide open screen with zero discrimination so I can hear every bit of iron in the ground. I was digging every repeatable signal with not much hope of finding anything outstanding, I was just happy to be out swinging. I got a signal that I would not normally dig (12-24) but I sure am glad that I did.

5000 years old bronze axe head

Today after finding a 1863 Victorian penny, I then found a musket ball and a couple of modern coins, as I was walking back towards my home after one hours detecting, on my last signal of the day I began to dig and dig, then eventually at about 16 inches down I noticed the object at the bottom. After taking it out of the ground I realised that what I had found was a bronze axe head. After returning home I took it to an expert who informed me that it was between 4500-5000 years old.
