<p><strong>It was Tue March 13 and my detecting buddy Dr. Bob met me at 7:30 am for a day of detecting.</strong> We hunted an old country school yard first and I found one Barber dime. We then hunted an old country church and I found a 1932 quarter and an Indian Head penny.</p> <p>Ended up at a local public park that I and many other have hunted many times. I found another Barber dime next to some trash and then another next to more trash. Hunted a couple of hours more with only a wheat penny so we decided to gas up and move to another park in a near by town.</p> [split] <p>As we were driving out of town I asked Bob if he wanted to go back and hunt for another hour so we could then go to another site I thought would be less busy after 5:00 pm and he said sure. Boy am I glad we decided to return as just a few minuets into the extra hour hunt I got a very deep silver signal on my E-TRAC.</p> <p>I dug a very nice deep plug in the moist black soil and checked the hole with my pinpointer and got a faint hit in the bottom of my 8" hole. Took a nice scoop out with my digger and it was still down there. Took a second scoop reaching the 10" level and it was in that scoop, A 1895 0 Barber dime in very nice condition. The key date of the circulated Barber Dimes!</p> <p>I could not believe it and ran over to show Bob and let him make sure I was not dreaming lol. He looked at it and said sure enough. What amazes me is this is the second 1895 O Barber dime I have found with my E-TRAC in the three years I have owned it. Those two dimes alone will more than pay for my E-TRAC should I ever decide to sell them......</p> <p>PS We went to the last site and I finished the day with a silver Rosevelt dime, My E-TRAC the "silver slayer".</p>
