I recently came into possession of a White’s Coinmaster GT. I have a favorite spot that I thought had been cleared of any and all targets a long time ago, by myself and a buddy of mine. We go metal detecting all of the time. I started with a Bounty Hunter and then moved up to a Garrett. I was really impressed with the Coinmaster GT and thought I would give it a shot at an old burned down church up the street. Within the first 5 feet I was getting signals, which amazed me because I had been there a few dozen times with other machines. The last time I was there I didn’t find a thing. The Coinmaster GT was getting good signals all over the property and deeper than I had been able to hit with the other machines I had tried before.[split] I got one good signal and started to dig and about 8 inches down I found a piece of cellophane material that was hitting as a metal target. I pulled it up, and carefully started opening it. To my amazement I found a 2 cent piece!!! I had never even seen one before, and none of the other machines I had used had found it. This is my 2 cents… White’s makes the best metal detectors I have ever used. It hits deeper and better than any machine I have used. The plastic persevered my 2 cent piece really nice. I think it is a piece of cellophane from a cigarette pack someone had tossed the coin into and dropped it.
