The Minelab Equinox 800 has all the features of the Equinox 600 except with even more targeted gold technology. The Equinox 800 allows you to specifically target the higher frequencies in the 20kHz and 40 kHz range in order to hunt for gold, and who doesn't want to find gold on their next treasure hunt?
The Equinox 800 has 4 main modes, each with two settings nested beneath it, for a total of 8 different search modes. Park Mode is fine-tuned for trashy areas that are littered with foil or pull tabs, so you can avoid digging up more aluminum. Field Mode is designed to target different-sized relics while searching in historical areas. Beach Mode is optimized to find treasure in salty conditions whether you are searching in the sand or in the water. Gold Mode targets the higher frequencies more so you can find gold nuggets and have successful days prospecting in the mountains or streams. The second setting in each mode generally allows for more targets to be picked up in difficult terrain, whether you are battling mineralized soil on your search for Civil War relics or you are dealing with saltwater on the beach. The Multi-IQ technology helps you catch each target beneath every sweep of your metal detector.
Don't forget to add on a pair of Kellyco Ear Muffs to give your coil ears some added reinforcement.
Low frequencies give more depth on large targets, and high frequencies are usually more sensitive to small targets.
With EQUINOX you can operate across the full spectrum of frequencies simultaneously for maximum results.
* 20 kHz and 40 kHz are not available as single operating frequencies in EQUINOX 600. The Multi-IQ frequency range shown applies to both EQUINOX 600 and 800. This diagram is representative only. Actual sensitivity levels will depend upon target types and sizes, ground conditions and detector settings.
