1910 Silver Canadian Half Dollar Found with Whites Detector
02/21/16
Hi JW, I went back to the construction sight, where I recovered my second silver dollar yesterday. I got there just as it was getting light so I would be ahead of the construction workers. A lot of the dirt had been removed since yesterday but there still was an area to hunt. I hunted for about an hour before I got my first good signal. I got a VDI reading of 90-92 indicating 50 cents at 2" deep. The soil was loose and I used my hand to remove the soil, and out popped this shiny coin. It was a coin that I am not familiar with. It took me a moment to see that it was a 1910 silver Canadian half dollar. It is well worn but still a very nice find. Before leaving the hunt sight, I contacted the job foreman to find out where all the dirt had been taken. He gave me directions and permission to go their for a hunt. I think I will try that spot tomorrow.
Have a good one,Dennis in Caldwell, Id
