A Couple Thousand Dollars Worth of Coins
02/21/16

I headed out to an older part of town this week to investigate a sidewalk tear out my wife and I had seen the night before. I knew the E-TRAC was going to love this spot so first thing the next moring I headed over and within 15 min pulled my first keeper, a 1899-o Barber Quarter!

[split]

In about another 30 min came my next keeper, a 1893 Barber dime.... Well it was getting hot so I decided to call it for the day and head back as soon as possible. Two days later I was back to the same spot and to my delight the spot had alot more dirt moved around, time to go back over and see if they uncovered anything else for me.

As it turns out I pull out another quarter right away, this is a 1907-s and within 15 ft I score a 1901-s Barber Dime!!!! Key date, I wasn't sure of that fact at the time but you can bet I know now. I can see that the next spot they are tearing out should be just as good so you can bet I will be back for more!!

Now of course these are what I think are my best finds from this spot but not all my finds, while there I also pulled a 1893 V, tokens and some badly curroded pennies, so bad I can't tell if they are indians or wheats, well two of them are canadian 1940's. Also found a tiny metal tea cup. Who would love having an E-TRAC after two trips out and possibly a couple thousand dollars worth of coins!!!!
