An Excellent Exercise Machine

Some time ago my wife of 47 years was diagnosed with a heart condition that required multiple bypasses. After the initial recovery her doctor suggested that she should begin an exercise program and suggested walking. She quickly lost interest in just walking around the neighborhood. Cars, traffic and repetitive scenery took their toll.

I thought an exercise bike or treadmill might fit but found the size and cost to be prohibitive. A neighbor suggested a metal detector and walking in the park. I researched the detectors and decided that the new White's Spectra V3i should fill the bill.

We have been enjoying our walks in the various parks near our home. Yesterday, Aug 28, we were on a walk and talking about my wife's upcoming birthday on September 4th and what she would like for a present. After a short time the detector gave me a strong coin signal.

I dug a small plug, retrieved what appeared to be a dirt covered 50 cent piece and continued on our walk. As soon as we returned home we cleaned what we thought would be a coin and found out that it was a large medallion from a necklace. The .925 silver medallion was a zodiac charm with the sign being Virgo. Exactly my wife's birth sign.

Now when anyone asks about her birthday present I can truly say "I just dug something up". Thanks White's for an excellent exercise machine. As a beginner to the hobby I can say, without reservation, the Spectra V3i is awesome. The birthday present was just a bonus.
