Found My Neighbor's Class Ring
02/21/16

We go to Florida for the winter, from Michigan, and have a mobile home in a park, in Seminole, close to Clearwater.

I just obtained the metal detector at the annual rummage sale, and had not used it.

My elderly neighbor was very distressed, as he had lost his High School ring, and was searching everywhere, even into the dumpster, and we had arrived at a decision that it had gone to the trash dump.
[split]

We were having coffee and cookies, when I said to let me try out the newly procured metal detector.

I installed to batteries and checked it on a few coins in the grass, and then scanned around the home, where he had done weeding. In a few minutes, I had a very welcome "beep", and digging down about two inches in the sandy soil, there was his ring!

It was a very tearful reception when I showed him my discovery.

A wonderful experience and we had a great evening dinner too!

My metal detector stays down in Florida, and this year will be used a lot of times around the park, and beaches.

We thank you for the surprise, what a wonderful feeling to restore such a lost treasure.

Thank you for a well designed unit.
