Garrett B's First Gold Found With a Garrett

Call it beginner's luck, but young Garrett B. calls it the find of a lifetime. New to the hobby of treasure-hunting, this Arizona youth recently joined his grandfather Jim in a search for gold. As fate would have it, he found his first gold on that hunt. The metal detector he was using was - appropriately enough - a Garrett ACE 250.
Garrett was searching Rye Patch Reservoir in Nevada with his grandfather when he made his exciting discovery. This multi-day July trip was sponsored by Gerry's Metal Detectors of Boise, Idaho, and included enthusiasts from Colorado, Nevada, Tennessee and Washington. Although each of the hunters on this particular trip was lucky enough to find some gold, it was young Garrett's first discovery.
