<p><strong>Went hunting at an old ghost town site.</strong> A colonial county seat that later was abandoned and is now just a big hay field. In the area where the courthouse is supposed to have been, Andrew Jackson started his legal career in this courthouse in 1787.</p> [split] <p>1787 turned out to be my lucky number. I found a few artifacts. A thimble, two fired lead balls, a broken gunflint, button and part of a padlock. But a good strong penny signal turned out to be a 1787 Connecticut Copper Penny.</p>
