Helping Friends

I don't know how much of a treasure story this is but I am proud of my Minelab X-Terra 705.

I had a friend of mine call me up with an unusually problem. I live in Wilkes Barre, Pa and my friend lives in Kutztown, Pa. It's about 80 miles from me. He called me up to see if i could come down to his place to find a cesspool...yes i said a cesspool. If you don't know what that is it's where your waste goes into an under ground waste tank. He told me the last time he seen it it was about 30 years ago. He knew about where and dug a few holes on his own to no avail. Cesspools usually have a metal lid on them. I said I will try to help him.

I drove to his place with my X-Terra 705 and when I got there he showed me where he thought it was. I turned my 705 on and started to scan the area. The ground was made of shale and it was perfect for draining water.

I had found the cast iron pipe that came out the wall and that was buired about 2 feet underground. I followed it up until I started to get a constant reading in a area of about a three foot diameter. I told him this is where you need to dig.

He started up his backhoe and started to dig. He got down to about 2 and a half feet and sure enough we found it. It had two old metal bumpers on top of it and old rusty lid. He was so glad to have found it. The point I am trying to make is that my 705 picked up something 2 and a half feet in the ground. Also...this was the first time i used it because i had just bought it and i am dying to go for real treasure this time and if I find some I will let you know.

Thanks for reading
