I Love this E-TRAC!

02/21/16

I've been detecting now just over three months, and I'm amazed at how awesome this machine is. I live in Philadelphia and love the history here. A few blocks away from me is one of the oldest parks in the city, and is open to MDers. In two months I've found 14 Mercury Dimes (oldest: 1916-S), 1 Barber Dime (1906), 3 Buffalo Nickels, 5 Silver Quarters, 2 Rosie Dimes, 5 Indian Head Pennies, 107 Quarters, 167 Dimes, 370 Pennies, 83 Wheat Pennies, and my greatest find, and oldest, is a King George III Rex half penny!

I couldn't believe it. I was working this area near a really old tree very hard this past week, and got a beautiful 1-40 Fe-Co number scream out on the machine. It was deep, but still a solid and repeatable signal. I started to cut my plug and noticed a huge root in the way. I had to dig down next to the root about 11-12 inces, and then under the root, and finally found this really old coin. It's crusty, and was difficult to identify, but wow, when I realized what it was! Thanks Minelab. I love this E-TRAC!!!!!
