MXT Finds Lost Academy Ring

Officials of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, recently contacted the metal detecting club that I belong to, the Pikes Peak Adventure League, in help locating a lost ring at the Academy's cemetery. The Air Force Officials explained that almost one year ago a widow from Huntsville, AL had been visiting the grave site of her husband, a retired Air Force Colonel and lost her late husband’s 1961 Academy Class ring somewhere in the cemetery.
Two other members of our club and I answered the call this past week and under the watchful eyes of Academy Officials we began the hunt. Less than 30 minutes later my trusty MXT sounded off with a solid hit in the coin and jewelry mode and I recovered the ring which has since been given back to a grateful widow.
