<p><strong>Last year I joined a web site called ‘I Lost My Stuff’ as a volunteer to help in locating lost jewelry and such.</strong> So in March I received notification of a lost wedding ring. I called Corinne and spoke to her about the ring. She explained that it was her husband’s ring. He was at the local park throwing ball as she is on a ball team. When he removed his glove from his left hand he noticed his ring was missing.</p> <p>I was not able to meet with either of them due to conflicting work schedules. So I went to the park with my White’s VX3 detector, and using the 6x10 coil with the coin and jewelry program selected. I started detecting from the catchers position and worked my way out across the infield. I had gotten to the area between first base and the pitcher’s mound when I got a solid 25 VDI at 1" depth. I carefully scraped away the sand/ clay mixture that made up the infield and out popped a 14K gold wedding ring. When I got home I called Corinne at work and told her I found the ring. You could hear the excitement in her voice. She explained to me this was the second wedding ring her husband Rodney had lost. The first one was lost when he was throwing a ball at the beach.</p> <p>The ring flew off his finger landing in the surf never to be seen again. It took a few days for Rodney and me to meet so I could return his ring to him. They had offered to give me a reward but I explained that I do this for free and wouldn't take a reward.</p>
