Rectory Grounds Metal Detecting Find
Published by Anthony B. on 04/17/18
I was given permission by my priest to detect on rectory grounds that date back to the early 1800s. I dug my earliest to date silver quarter and to say I was surprised is an understatement.
I got a tone on my Garrett AT Pro that was scratchy but yet read in the 80s so I thought it was a dime or maybe a penny. Either way I was going to dig and to see.
This coin come out my eyes about jumped out of my head. After that find I let out a whoop, gave thanks to God and did a fist pump pretty much at the same time. I was pretty much done after that but I did manage to add 78 cents to my running total.
