Spanish Coin

My wife and I went to North Carolina the last week in April. I was metal detecting using my AT PRO, I have only been detecting for about one year, when I first found it it was covered with scales of salt. When we got back to New Hampshire where we live I placed the coin in vinegar for about twenty minutes and the salt scales were gone. Final results. Someone told me it was a replica, and someone said it was from the seventeenth or eighteenth century, I don't know. Even if it is a replica I don't care, I was excited.
