Two Rings in Two Nights

I was busy detecting one summer evening during our summer holidays here in South Africa, when I was approached by a family who was very interested what I was doing.

I showed them, and as they left mentioned that a lady has lost a ring along the beach some distance from where I was. It was already 10:00PM, so I said I will g and have a look when I was finished.

My daughter who was with me, was instantly interested and soon after left for the beach as indicated by the family.

There were only a few fishermen left on the beach and they indicated to an area almost the size of a football field where they say the people searching for the ring.

We started detecting and within 10 minutes, got a very good signal. There it was just as the waves were starting to wash it deeper.

We left our contact details with the night guards and at the local police. Early the next morning, we received the call from a very relieved husband.

It was wonderful to be able to help someone in such a way. Well, the next evening I found another ring at another beach but this was a keeper. The wide band is the one I returned to the owner.
