V3i Goes Way Beyond My Expectations!
02/21/16

I just thought I would update you regarding the performance of my V3i. I have had it for two seasons now. I started out using the preset programs and now am confident using most of the expert settings. Below are some pictures of some of the finds that I have collected.

Shortly after purchasing the V3i I joined a metal detecting forum know as NH Bobs Metal Detecting Forum (http://nhbobsmetaldetectingforum.com ) and was introduced an awesome group of detectorists and to relic hunting in farm fields. Within the first month I found my first two pre 1800 King George Coppers, A thick Indian Head Penny, a variety of gold buttons, a civil war era padlock and more. One of the most exciting finds came from a hay farm in New Hampshire. The land owner has given us permission to hunt his fields. He was interested in any finds that related back to the original land owner (almost 2 centuries ago). As luck had it I pulled a bridle tag with an engraved name of the original land owner!

I am lucky in that I can hunt both salt water beaches along the coast of Massachusetts and New Hampshire on a regular basis. The beaches have yielded a variety of gold items and most recently on Salisbury Beach, I found a standing liberty silver half dollar.

The graphics of the machine allow for easy and reliable target identification and depth. The menu system allows for on the go adjustments and built in help menu greatly reduced my learning curve.
