I have been a V3i owner for a couple of years now. Hands down it is the best detector out on the market and I have tried some of the others out there. So far with my V3i I have dug lots of silver coins. But these finds are by far my best that I have ever dug.

[split]

These 2 pictures are the result of a total of 14 hours of hunting. And all the finds are pre Civil War! In those 2 days the V3i performed flawlessly at finding bullets, buttons, coins and everything else we could find at depths anywhere from 2 inches all the way down to 10 inches. The VDI scale was always dead on. If it said button or bullet, it was going to be a button or bullet!

Also the battery life was outstanding!! After 8 hours of continuous hunting without turning off the machine for a short break, I still had plenty of battery life to keep on going. Now only if I had that kind of battery life! Some of the best things I found in those 2 days is the Jefferson Davis Hat pin, which brings me to another point, pinpointing.

Pinpointing with the V3i is simple and dead on. If it wasn't dead on I probably would have put my digger right through that Hat pin! Also was the 3 Eagle "D" buttons, 3 Eagle "I" buttons, Eagle General Service buttons and the General Service Button from around the War of 1812 button. Not to mention the 1855 O Seated Quarter and 2 1857 Seated Dimes! The Quarter and one of the dimes being in the same hole about 6 inches deep and they rang out clear as a bell and there was no mistaking what they were!!

Thanks again for making such an outstanding and versatile metal detector in the V3i! I can only guess as to what it is going to sniff out from the depths in the future!!
