The Bounty Hunter Junior Target Identification (T.I.D.) metal detector can eliminate unwanted metals from detection and distinguish between three categories of metal targets:
- Ferrous : includes many iron targets such as nails, screws, bolts and some large iron objects like horseshoes. The detector will respond with low-pitch audio tone and display a Sad Face Icon.
- Non-Ferrous Low Conductor : includes U.S. nickels, rings and small jewelry but also may include trash items such as foil, pull tabs, screw caps and bottle tops. The Junior T.I.D. will respond with medium-pitch audio tone and display the Question Mark Icon.
- Non-Ferrous High Conductor : includes copper and silver coins as well as jewelry made of silver. The Junior T.I.D. will respond with high-pitch audio tone and display the Happy Face Icon.
